Features:
- The iSeries system provides several flexible options for heating.
- It can be used as a heat-pump only system, as a system where either hydronic or electric heat works in tandem with the heat pump, or as a dual-fuel type system where hydronic or electric heat takes over at a certain outdoor temperature.
- These options fall into two main categories: Supplemental and Auto Changeover. Each of these modes have advantages and optimal applications.
- When installing the system, one method or the other must be chosen; they cannot be used simultaneously.
- Supplemental Heat allows the heat pump to run simultaneously with a backup heat source.
- Auto Changeover Heat shuts down the heat pump at a user-adjustable outdoor temperature and allows the backup heat source to take over. This is similar to dual-fuel systems.
